- Press and hold the STOP / RESET button for at least 5 seconds.

- After installing the canon ink cartridge for the first time, when you try to print from the computer, the following message “Unable to recognize the ink cartridge” will appear first. So, this is the same message when you install the original OEM cartridge.
- Click OK. The printer will try to print, then the following message will appear. “Unable to print”
- Now click on “Cancel printing”.
- Press the STOP / RESET button and hold it down for at least 5 seconds.
